Job Description:

The Molecular Imagining Core at St. Jude is seeking a Nuclear Pharmacist who will oversee all compounding, quality control and assurance activities associated with the preparation of PET radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with PET cGMP and state and federal pharmacy regulations under USP <823>. As a part of our team, you will support a growing menu of clinical research tracers by guiding chemists and physician investigators in preparation of Investigational New Drug (IND) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications. Come join a dynamic group dedicated to producing a variety of PET tracers to support clinical and preclinical research across our institution.

Works closely with Molecular Imaging Core and pharmacy staff to ensure patient and employee safety, smooth operation of the facility, and compliance with applicable institution, state and federal regulations, guidelines and standards

Oversees radiation safety in the laboratory including license commitments and standard operating procedures

Participates directly in the development of clinical and research radiopharmaceuticals in conjunction with the Molecular Imaging Core and Pharmaceutical Services

Prepares and maintains records of research radiopharmaceuticals being evaluated

Provides support for operation and maintenance of cyclotron, chemistry modules, and

associated software

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences required

PharmD, other advanced degree and/or residency in radiopharmacy preferred

Nuclear pharmacist experience required

Experience in the preparation and quality control analysis of PET radiopharmaceuticals strongly preferred

Licensure by the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy required
