Resume Writing & Cover Letter Questions

Are single page construction resumes easier for the construction employer?

Should I expect more detail than a single page from a construction resume? It’s been said that an construction executive’s background (what makes him or her right for the position) should be organized for presentation in an elevator speech or a single paragraph. The idea of a construction resume is not to publish one’s biography, but to obtain an construction interview. Too much information is worse than too little when it comes to construction resumes. Most work backgrounds and work accomplishments should be focused to the position applied for and written on a single page. It is acceptable to present a second page listing appropriate credentials, education and other relevant accomplishments.
