Job Description:
Responsible for growing BCAs relationships with K-12 and Community College clients throughout Northern California. Must have the mind of a creative strategist, the personality to network with clients, and significant experience in the design of K-12 and community college facilities. Must also possess strong client leadership and project management skills, proven business development skills and passion, along with experience leading programming and presenting early design phases to school boards. Strong sustainability experience is desired. Will work with BCA President to develop relationships with key strategic clients..

Areas of Responsibility:
Business Development: Grow and maintain client relationships and to develop organizational relationships between BCA Architects and the client organization.
Marketing & Sales: Collaboration with the marketing department to identify and respond to opportunities with existing clients, coordinating with BCA President as needed. This includes development of the strategy and drafting of responses to RFQ and RFP requests. This position participates in the preparation of content for interviews and presentations.
Project leadership: Leads the client through design and budget objectives with the project design team to satisfy the client goals. Does what it takes to get the project funded, contracted and started, and is the client leader for the BCA project team; maintains client relationship and monitors project progress throughout entire project delivery.
Requires experience in Office of the Chancellor Funding requirements, OPSC Funding, State Grant Qualifications and Funding including CTE, HPI and FLS Grants and Joint Use Funding. Experience in Programming, Schematic Design and presentations to school Boards of Education. Knowledge of Traditional Project Delivery, Design Build and Lease-Lease Back Delivery methods and related contract administration.
