Job Description:
Eugene Oregon based General Contractor is seeking a Chief Estimator with 8-10 years minimum experience taking the lead as an estimator for commercial and industrial building projects ranging up to $40M in contract value. We prefer individuals with knowledge of the Pacific Northwest building practices, but isnt a mandatory requirement. We require the Chief Estimator to have extensive experience in multiple project delivery systems across a wide variety of projects that include: Construction Manager/General Contractor CM/GC), Design-Bid-Build DBB and Design-Build DB.

Job Requirements:

Chief Estimator will take the lead on preconstruction services including estimating,
scheduling, planning, bidding and budgeting of projects.

Excellent organizational, verbal and communication skills are a requirement.

The proven ability to multitask, coordinate, manage multiple projects and teams.

Provide leadership and direction to the project management teams and estimating staff for
preconstruction services and hard bid projects.

Experience working with design professionals and owner teams as the point of contact for
preconstruction activities.

Demonstrated ability to perform conceptual estimates with limited design development and
lead teams through multiple budget phases balancing design goals and construction costs.

Experience in quantity take-offs for self-performed work by the contractor.

Knowledge of various unit pricings for multiple subcontractor trades disciplines.

Prior experience with LEED analysis, Value Engineering and Life Cycle costing processes.

Proficiency with MS Excel and on-screen take off software and other Windows based
software.

Demonstrated ability to understand project schedules and sequencing.

Experience with construction cost accounting systems.

Business development and maintaining industry contacts will be an important part of this

position.
