Describe who you are, the position you're looking for and why you're exactly the right construction executive in under one minute 1. Make your proposition: Describe who you are, your relevant experience, and the value you bring to the table in clear, tangible terms. 2. Show your passion: Decision makers are looking for fire in the belly and a passion to succeed. Make sure this one attribute shines through. 3. Call to action: Ask friends and acquaintances if they know of positions that fit, or people to contact. If you are talking to a decision maker, ask for an appointment. When using voice mail you will need to be more concise. Write a script and practice it on your own mail box until you sound like someone you would want to hire.
