Resignation, Firing & Termination Questions

What are necessary actions before the termination of any employee?

Add Answer
The employee should be told why the decision has taken place. If the termination is based on just cause, and if the construction employer has documented the employee’s infractions, termination can be short and simple. This is a legal issue that should be professionally consulted on, however if there are no performance or infraction grounds to justify the termination, many construction employers will simply tell the employee straight out what the issue is. To reduce the anxiety surrounding an employee’s dismissal, a small severance or insurance coverage extension can be offered. However some lawyers will insist that if anything financial is given to the employee, then they should get the employee to sign a waiver not to sue them for any cause.
