Resignation, Firing & Termination Questions

How should you handle quitting when you are forced to resign?

Add Answer
I received a good offer from a good construction employer! Now, I have to face my construction employer and resign. What is the best time and place to handle this? There are different perspectives about resigning but the following are pretty standard school of thoughts. First, be a professional- write a simple to the point letter. Second, Make sure that you give adequate time for your construction employer to find a replacement- if they desire. Third, set an appointment with your construction employer. It is said to be more effective at the beginning of the week and late afternoon. Remember, this is not a meeting to discuss or debate the decision that you have already made. The focus of this meeting is how to make the transition as smooth as possible for all parties. Added by:- Admin
