Resignation, Firing & Termination Questions

When is the best time and worst time to resign from your job?

Add Answer
Most experts agree the best time to resign is in the afternoon (4 PM) on Monday. By resigning in the late afternoon, it allows you to leave early without dealing with the initial emotion driven responses and questions from the boss and coworkers. This will also help limit the amount of time the boss has to interrogate you and plan a counteroffer strategy.
The worst time to resign is on Friday afternoon. It gives the boss two full days to construct a counteroffer and a plan of attack to keep you. Rather than relaxing during your weekend, you are likely to stay up nights guessing what will happen the following Monday. Added by:- Admin
